Indore 25June : The IMC removal gang demolished eight shops obstructing construction of BRTS road on Thursday. The removal was necessary to speed up construction of BRTS road.
Mayor Krishna Murari Moghe inspected the BRTS road along with IMC officials.
As the construction of the road is progressing, obstructions too are fast becoming visible and efforts to remove them are being taken up on priority basis.
The removal gang demolished eight shops at Bhawarkuwa Square on Thursday.
PARTS OF HOUSES ALSO DEMOLISHED: The IMC removal gang also demolished dangerous portions of seven houses on Thursday. Besides the houses and shops, the gang also demolished temporary sheds of Ganesh Restaurant, Balaji Property Brokers and three other shops in Pipliyarao.
DEMOLITION TO SAVE LIVES: In view of monsoon, the IMC had identified parts of 101 houses to be dangerous and merited their removal. Of these, the damaged portion of 61 houses have been removed so far and efforts are on to remove the remaining 41 houses. IMC undertakes such removal during the beginning of monsoon to avoid loss of life.
