The MP Cabinet has approved development proposals worth about ₹19,810 crore in Bhopal. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav chaired the meeting, which cleared funds for roads, irrigation, health, agriculture, rural welfare and women’s support schemes.
Roads Get Major Funding
The biggest share went to the Public Works Department. The Cabinet cleared ₹10,801 crore for road and infrastructure works, including BOT projects, annuity payments and road corporation projects.
Irrigation and Farming Focus
The MP Cabinet also approved ₹286.26 crore for the Midwasa irrigation project in Sagar. The project aims to support around 7,200 hectares and benefit 27 villages.
For agriculture, ₹2,250 crore was cleared under the Sub-Mission on Agricultural Mechanisation. The scheme will support modern farm tools, custom hiring centres and crop residue management.
Health and Welfare Plans
The Cabinet approved ₹1,674 crore for new medical colleges and linked district hospitals. It also cleared ₹1,005 crore for health services for Bhopal Gas Tragedy survivors till 2031.
The MP Cabinet also approved ₹240.42 crore for women and child development schemes. Eight new One-Stop Centres will open, including centres in Lasudia and Sanwer in Indore.
Departments will now move ahead with approvals, tenders and project work. The package aims to improve public services and support long-term development across Madhya Pradesh.
