The India squad for the Afghanistan series brings four maiden national call-ups across Test and ODI formats. Manav Suthar, Harsh Dubey and Gurnoor Brar entered the one-off Test squad, while Prince Yadav, Brar and Dubey got ODI call-ups. The tour includes one Test from June 6-10 and three ODIs from June 14-20.

Maiden Call-Ups Grab Focus

Shubman Gill will captain India in both formats. KL Rahul is Test vice-captain, while Shreyas Iyer is ODI vice-captain. Rishabh Pant and Dhruv Jurel are wicketkeepers in Tests, while KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan are ODI keeping options.

Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja have been rested from the Test squad. Axar Patel has been left out. In ODIs, Rohit Sharma and Hardik Pandya are included, but both need fitness clearance.
