Indian Railways Starts Indore to Nepal Bharat Gaurav Train for Pilgrims

Indian Railways has launched the Indore to Nepal Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train for passengers planning religious and spiritual travel. The special train will connect Indore with major pilgrimage destinations in Nepal and northern India.

The tour package includes travel, accommodation, meals, and sightseeing under the Bharat Gaurav tourism scheme.

Bharat Gaurav Train Route and Stops

The Bharat Gaurav Train will begin its journey from Indore and cover several important religious locations during the trip. Key stops include Ayodhya, Varanasi, Gorakhpur, Janakpur, Kathmandu, and other spiritual destinations.

Railway officials said the tour focuses on Ramayana and Hindu pilgrimage circuits.

Passengers from nearby cities can also board the train from selected stations during the route.

Special Facilities for Passengers

Indian Railways said the tourist train offers sleeper and AC coach options for travelers. The package includes hotel stays, local transport, meals, security, and guided sightseeing.

Officials added that trained staff and tour managers will assist passengers throughout the journey.

The Bharat Gaurav scheme aims to promote religious tourism and improve travel experiences across India.

Ticket Fare and Booking Details

The fare depends on the selected coach category and travel package. Officials said prices start from economy packages and increase for AC and premium facilities.

Passengers can book tickets through official railway tourism platforms and authorized booking centres.

Tourism experts believe the new train service may attract pilgrims from Madhya Pradesh and nearby states.

Religious Tourism Growing Rapidly

Indian Railways has expanded Bharat Gaurav tourist trains across multiple pilgrimage routes in recent years. The government aims to strengthen domestic tourism and improve connectivity to religious destinations.

Travel industry analysts said spiritual tourism continues to grow strongly after increased demand from families and senior citizens.

The Nepal route may also benefit local tourism businesses connected to hotels, transport, and guided tours.

What Happens Next

Railway officials are expected to announce future departure dates depending on passenger response and bookings. Authorities may also introduce more international religious circuits under the Bharat Gaurav scheme.

Passengers planning the journey have been advised to complete bookings early due to limited seats on the tourist train.
